The DS223 is capable of sequential reads of up to 225.98 MB/s and sequential writes of up to 192.21 MB/s, as well as encrypted reads of up to 225.99 MB/s and encrypted writes of 195.2 MB/s. It is equipped with a hardware encryption engine, DS223 offloads the encryption calculation tasks from the main CPU. It supports Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR), Basic, JBOD, RAID 0, RAID 1.
